Gamepad Deadzone Test

See how far your sticks sit from true zero at rest and whether small movements register before you intend them to.

Understanding deadzones

A deadzone is the range near center where the stick should report zero. Controllers apply a small software deadzone so tiny mechanical play does not move your aim. Too large a deadzone reduces precision; too small can feel twitchy.

How to measure with Gamepad Tester

Tip: If axes flicker while your hands are off the sticks, run the stick drift test next.
